Ofsted scrapped the single word ratings for schools in England from September 2024.
However, Early years providers such as private nurseries, pre-schools, and independent childcare settings can still receive and display single word Ofsted ratings, and schools inspected before September 2024 can continue to display their existing grade until they are re-inspected.
Ofsted no longer give overall effectiveness grades, instead they give a set of grades for different inspection criteria -
Quality of education
Behaviour and attitudes
Personal development
Leadership and management
